Terms & Conditions – Simple Catering Kitchen

At Simple Catering Kitchen, we want your event to run smoothly from start to finish. To ensure clarity and avoid surprises, please take a moment to read through our terms and conditions. By paying a deposit or balance, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined below.


Online Ordering

All online catering orders are considered confirmed once payment is made. Changes can only be made by contacting our team directly via phone or email at least 72 hours before your event.


Quotes & Pricing

  • A written quote will be provided based on your requirements and remains valid for 30 days.

  • Prices are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

  • Prices are subject to change, but we’ll always inform you before your event date if this occurs.


Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed once we receive the deposit or full payment (as specified on your invoice or quote). If payment isn’t received by the due date, we may need to cancel your booking.


Payment Terms

To secure your Gold Coast catering service, the following payment conditions apply:

  • Private clients: 50% deposit required to confirm. Full payment is due 7 days prior to the event.

  • Approved corporate clients (with ABN): Payment is due on the event day.

  • Payment can be made via direct deposit, credit card (1.7% fee applies), or cash.

  • Outstanding accounts may attract a 10% late fee.


Cancellation Policy

Life happens — if you need to cancel your catering order:

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.

  • More than 7 days prior: 100% of your deposit will be refunded.

  • Less than 72 hours prior: 50% of your deposit will be refunded.

  • In extreme or unavoidable circumstances beyond our control, Simple Catering Kitchen reserves the right to cancel without penalty and will refund all payments made.


Confirming Guest Numbers

To help us deliver the best possible service:

  • Final numbers must be confirmed 7 days prior to the event.

  • For weddings, confirmation is required 21 days in advance.

  • We’ll always do our best to accommodate late increases in numbers, but cannot guarantee availability.

  • If guest numbers drop by 10% or more, we reserve the right to re-quote.


Staff Charges & Surcharges

Some events may require additional staff charges or surcharges:

  • Events held on public holidays will incur a 15% surcharge on total food and beverage.

  • Events finishing after midnight will incur late staff charges.

  • If additional staff are requested, fees may apply based on event requirements.

  • Events falling below our minimum order size or package may also incur a service fee.


Loss or Damage

Clients are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the event venue, Simple Catering Kitchen’s equipment, or fittings during the event.

  • We recommend isolating smoke alarms or fire systems when catering involves heated food. We take no responsibility if alarms are triggered during standard food preparation or service.


Post-Event Charges

If your event runs over time due to circumstances outside our control, additional staffing fees may apply. Charges are billed in hourly blocks or part thereof and will be outlined post-event on your invoice.
